Super Bowl 2003
The 2003 Super Bowl, officially known as Super Bowl XXXVII, was played on January 26, 2003 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The game saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeat the Oakland Raiders by a score of 48-21. The Buccaneers won their first Super Bowl in franchise history, behind a dominant performance from their defense, which intercepted five passes from Raiders quarterback Rich Gannon, including two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Buccaneers safety Dexter Jackson was named the Super Bowl MVP for his two interceptions and a touchdown.
