Super Bowl 1988
The 1988 Super Bowl, officially known as Super Bowl XXII, was played on January 31, 1988 at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, California. This game saw the Washington Redskins defeat the Denver Broncos by a score of 42-10.
The Redskins dominated the game, with quarterback Doug Williams throwing for 340 yards and four touchdowns to earn the MVP award. Washington's defense was also strong, holding the Broncos to just 10 points and forcing three turnovers. This was the second Super Bowl win for the Washington Redskins.
The National Anthem, which was performed by the famous singer, Whitney Houston.
