Pencak Silat at the Commonwealth Games - a Demonstration Sport

Pencak Silat (often called just silat) is a martial arts style originating from Indonesia.

There was an exhibition of Silat at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but no details of the competition have been found.

Silat was one of the four demonstration sports at Games, the others were Sepak Takraw, Silambam and Wushu.

The sport has never been on the official Commonwealth Games program.
