Judo at the Commonwealth Games

Judo is one of the sports at the Commonwealth Games. A judo competition was first held as a demonstration sport at the 1986 Games. It has officially been on the program in 1990, 2002, 2014 and 2022 Games.

In 2022, there were competitions across fourteen weight categories (7 for males, 7 for females).

In 2022, judo became a core sport and possibly returned to the program for good.
