Judo is one of the sports at the Commonwealth Games. A judo competition was first held as a demonstration sport at the 1986 Games. It has officially been on the program in 1990, 2002, 2014 and 2022 Games. It has been included in the reduced program for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

In 2022, there were competitions across fourteen weight categories (7 for males, 7 for females).

Glasgow 2026 Judo

Judo at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games was held from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at the SEC Centre, over the final three days of the Games. The competition was again contested across fourteen weight categories (seven for men and seven for women).

Results and Highlights

England again proved the strongest judo nation, topping the medal table with 12 medals in total (four gold, two silver and six bronze). Emma Reid was the standout, defending her Commonwealth title in the women's -78kg.

Canada finished second, also winning four golds among seven medals (four gold, two silver and one bronze). Kyle Reyes took the men's -100kg for Canada's fourth title of the competition. Cyprus’s Giannis Antoniou won the men's +100kg gold, and New Zealand also claimed a title on the final day. The top three nations on the judo medal table are shown below.
