The British Virgin Islands is a UK overseas territory and lies roughly mid-way between Puerto Rico and the northern most of the Leeward Islands group in the Caribbean. It is an archipelago of over 40 islands, 16 of which are inhabited. To the east of the islands lies Anguilla.

British Virgin Islands at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games

The British Virgin Islands finished in a tie for twenty-third at Glasgow 2026, the first Commonwealth Games staged with a reduced program of 10 sports. The territory won 1 gold for a single medal – a historic first Commonwealth Games gold for the British Virgin Islands.

Sprinter Adaejah Hodge delivered the breakthrough, winning the women's 200m to become the territory's first-ever Commonwealth Games champion. The final medal standings, with the British Virgin Islands' placing, are shown below.
