Art of the Olympians Museum

A gallery exhibiting art of Olympians, the brainchild of Olympic discus thrower Al Oerter. He helped to organize an exhibit called 'Art of the Olympians', which has now collected the work of 50 Games veterans. The exhibit traveled to New York City, and finally found a permanent home in a waterfront gallery in Fort Myers, Florida. The gallery includes a large collection of art from a diverse group of Olympians turned artists, such as Peggy Fleming, Florence Griffith Joyner, Cammy Myler, Shane Gould, Liston Bochette and Bob Beamon. National Art Museum of Sport

Located on the campus of Purdue University in Indianapolis, and is one of the largest collections of sport related art. NAMOS was founded in 1959 in New York City by Germain G. Glidden, a portrait artist and champion squash player with a strong belief in sport and art as universal languages understood and appreciated by all people.



The American Sport Art Museum & Archives

Located at the United States Sports Academy, they claim to house the largest collection of sport art in the world. Founded in 1984, the American Sport Art Museum and Archives (ASAMA) is dedicated to the preservation of sports art, history and literature. The ASAMA collection is composed of more than 1,800 pieces across all media, including paintings, sculptures, assemblages, prints, posters and photography.

Olympic Park

A sculpture garden outside the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, containing numerous works of art on the theme of sports. Among the most notable works are Auguste Rodin's The American Athlete, Niki de Saint Phalle's Les Footballeurs, Lucien Wercollier's tribute to the pole vault titled Altius, plus much more.

National Sports Museum

An Australian museum of sport located at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It is home of Australia's largest collection of sporting memorabilia.

Olympic Museum

L:ocated at Ouchy, south of Lausanne, Switzerland. The museum houses permanent and temporary exhibits relating to sport and the Olympic movement.
