Carbs Myth:

Carbohydrates are no good to eat after 4pm as they promote weight gain - true or false?

THIS IS FALSE

  • Carbohydrate foods are low in energy compared to fat (16kJ/g)
  • What do you add to your carbohydrate foods? E.g. creamy pasta sauces, butter or sour cream on potatoes, oily fried rice, spreads on bread etc.
  • Weight management is more about total energy intake versus energy expenditure
  • Carbohydrates are low in energy compared to fats (16kJ/g)
