England at the World Cup
England are one of six teams to have appeared at all Cricket World Cups. England had been runners-up three times: 1979, 1987 and 1992. England hosted the 2019 World Cup, and were winners of one of the greatest ever World Cup matches, beating New Zealand in a super over.

- England's first ICC World Cup match played was on Jun 7, 1975 against India at Lord's, London. In that match England beat India by 202 runs.
- England has hosted the World Cup five times, in 1977, 1979, 1983, 1999 and 2019.
