Beach Volleyball

Beach Volleyball was one of four optional sports that was voted into the sports program of the Commonwealth Games at the 2011 CGF General Assembly in St Kitts & Nevis. As an optional sport, it means that the host city can choose to include this sport if it wishes - there are other sports which must be on the program).

There was a strong lobby to get beach volleyball included in the 2018 Gold Coast Games, but it failed. The next hope for beach Volleyball is to be included in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
