Here is the top 10 list of the highest earning sports people from 1992, the list published by Forbes in Nov 1992. It is the third time they have published such a list. Of the 35.9 million dollars earned by Michael Jordan, most of it came from product endorsements, which earned Jordan an estimated $32 million this year. He 'only' made $3.9 million for playing basketball.
This year the first and only time so far a woman has made it to the top 10 highest paid athlete list, with Tennis player Monica Seles coming in at 10th.
Earnings totals include salaries, bonuses, prize money, endorsements and appearance fees. See also the top earning lists from other years.
