Raffa - A Boules Sport

Raffa (also known as Raffa Bocce or Roundup) is a variation of bocce, part of the boules sport family, similar to Pétanque and Jeu Provençal. Thee objective of raffa is to roll or throw a set of plastic balls as close as possible to a target ball, referred to as a jack. The sport is played by men and women, and can be played individually or in teams of two or three.

This sport usually practiced on a flat clay or carpet surface. The sport is named after the "raffa shot", a specific shot made to strike within 13 cm a particular ball or the jack, indicated in advance. Matches end at 12 points, while the finals at 15 points.
