Greatest 2012 Sporting Highlights

The major sporting event of 2012 was the London Olympic Games, with superstar Usain Bolt winning the 100/200m double again. It was not the only highlight. Also in Olympic news, Oscar Pistorius won the Olympic/Paralympic double, and making us all think about what really is an artificial aid.

There was rare excitement in golf, possibly the biggest comeback in Ryder Cup history, which has been dubbed 'Miracle in Medinah'. Bradley Wiggins won the Tour de France, first-ever win by a UK rider. And it was no surprise, but still a significant event this year - Lance Armstrong being banned from the sport for life.
