Our institute promotes many research activities and also provides support to the sports instructors and athletes.

Japan Institute of Sports Sciences (JISS) works in collaboration with Japanese Olympic Committee and many other sports federations, sports research institutions and universities. Our sports institute provides the facility to the athletes which they can use to strengthen their performance and enable themselves to undergo intensive continuous training with ease. Our institute is also connected with the Japan Sport Council.

ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) - Kobe, Japan

The ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) focuses on the analysis of natural movements and actions, This research institute develops and works with unique materials, leading innovation within the industry. Precursors to tge institute began in 1997 with the establishment of a Technology Research Section at ASICS headquarters in Osaka. In 1980, the ASICS Shoes Department (factory in Kobe) founded the first Shoe Fundamental Research Division within the Footwear Planning and Development section. The actual Institute of Sport Science was began in 1985, when ASICS moved its headquarters to Kobe Port Island (in Chuo Ward, Kobe), by the consolidation of the Technology Research Department and Shoe Development Center.
