Argentina made its maiden appearance at the Winter Olympic Games in 1928 and participated in the Winter Games from then on except in 1932, 1936 and 1956.
Argentina is still seeking to win its first-ever medal at the Winter Games.
In the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games the nation sent seven athletes (6 women and 1 man) to compete in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. Unfortunately all of the nation’s athlete faltered on their respective events and went home empty-handed.
