Sepak Takraw was first part of the Asian Games in 1990 held in Beijing, China, and the sport has been on the program ever since. The most successful country in this sport at the Asian Games is Thailand.

The sport is like volleyball though players use a rattan ball and are only allowed to use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball.
