The World Swimming Championships

The World Championships of Swimming is held every four years. The five disciplines that comprise the World Championships are:

• Swimming
  
• Open Water Swimming
  
• Water Polo
  
• Synchronized Swimming
  
• Diving

The next World Championships of Swimming, the 12th, will be held in Melbourne in 2007, followed by Rome in 2009.
