Gurning is a traditional British competition where participants distort their faces, often by pushing their lower jaw forward and contorting their features. The ugliest face wins, not something I would be proud of.
The competition is most famously associated with the Egremont Crab Fair in England, where contestants sometimes wear horse collars to exaggerate their expressions.

Tumbling was a gymnastics event at the 1932 Olympic Games. Here is a video of the only Olympic Champion, Rowland "Flip" Wolfe of the United States, demonstrating some of his tumbling routines. His key move was the backflip with a double twist. He became the youngest ever male Olympic gymnastics champion – he was 17 years and 307 days old.
