AFL Combine Results 2013 State Screening

Here are a selection of fitness test results from the State Screening part of the 2013 AFL draft combine. In addition to the players that were tested in Melbourne, the next level of players are invited to attend a state combine event. The protocol used is slightly different, at the state screenings the players have just one day compared to the national combine where the tests were spread over several days, with much more time for recovery. Compare the results below to the top national draft camp results for 2013.

Selected Results - WA (13 Oct, 2013)

The players tested included: Brendon Abbott (Claremont), Josh Cuneo (East Fremantle), Brent Edmonds (Perth), Matthew Johnson (West Perth), Tim Kelly (South Fremantle), Francis Watson (Claremont), Rowen Powell (Claremont), Ian Richardson (Claremont), Thomas Shanahan (East Perth), Ben Sokol (South Fremantle) and Ryan Lester-Smith (East Fremantle) - who did not test due to injury.

The players were put through their paces at Revolution Sports in Shenton Park.

Selected Results - SA (Wayville, 12 Oct, 2013)

The players tested included two players from the Northern Territory and 21 South Australians: Korey Beard (Port Magpies), Luke Buckby (Central Districts), Campbell Combe (North Adelaide, Nick Favretto (West Adelaide), Tom Gray (Port Magpies), Liam Jacka (North Adelaide), Baydon Ngalkin (NT Thunder, NT), Jed Redden (Glenelg), Peter Steffe (South Adelaide), Byron Sumner (WWT Eagles), Joel Tippett (West Adelaide), Josh Waldhuter (Central Districts), Robert Young (Port Magpies), James Aish (Norwood), Trent Dumont (Norwood), Orazio Fantasia (Norwood), Nathan Gordon (North Adelaide), Alex Spina (North Adelaide), Riley Knight (Woodville West Torrens), Malcolm Karpany (Woodville West Torrens), Cameron Giles (Woodville West Torrens), George Hewett (North Adelaide), Jake Pitt (Glenelg), Willy Rioli (South Fremantle).
