Here the final for the AFL player sprint race, held annually on Grand Final day. The event was held before the main game, previously it was held during half time. The winner was Patrick Dangerfield of Adelaide (repeating his win from 2011), with Sydney’s Harry Cunningham second and Hawthorn’s Angus Litherland third. The player sprint race held during half-time at the 2008 AFL Grand Final. The winner was Matthew White of Richmond, followed by Stefan Martin (Melbourne) then Nathan Djerrkura (Geelong). See more about the GF Sprint.

Here is the player sprint competition held during half-time at the 2007 AFL Grand Final. It was a handicap event for the second time. The winner was Richmond player Jake King, who started started from the front marker (2m), as it seems like most of the other competitors.
