Buying the Yo-Yo Test
There areseveral variations of the yo-yo test: see Yo-Yo endurance test and a Yo-Yo Intermittent Test. In addition, there is two versions of each test, level 1 & 2. The endurance test is like the beep test. In the intermittent tests (endurance and recovery versions), participants have a short active recovery break after each 40m run.
Where to Buy
I have yet to find a good source of buying the yo-yo test, although judging by the questions I get about it, there is a lot of interest. If you Google for 'yo-yo test' you may be lucky to find something.
Alternatively, the Yo-Yo Test recording can be replicated using the Team BeepTest software. This software enables you to modify the parameters of Start, Run, Rest and Repeat, so any beep type test can be created. There are some custom scripts that can be used or modified further with the software to do any version of this test. All you need is are details for the yo-yo test levels - we have listed some of the level details for the intermittent or endurance tests, though not all these details are yet confirmed.
