Fitness Testing for the Utah County Law Enforcement

Law-enforcement recruits in Utah are required to undergo a fitness assessment as part of the recruitment process. Below is some information about the fitness test requirements and standards. This information is presented for discussion and may be out of date - for the latest information see current official sources.

Assessment Tests

When recruited, officers are required to reach certain physical standards through POST, the Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy. In 2007 ongoing testing for all employees was added, from patrol deputies to the sheriff himself, in which they have to perform the following tests and reach the standards listed below. There are no different requirements for men or women, nor for different ages.
