Vertical Jump - Vertec System

Here are a few examples of vertical jumps using the Vertec Apparatus. Unfortunately some are taken side on, but you can get the idea. The first is an instruction video with a brief description of how to conduct the Vertical Jump test.

This is a video shot on July 8, 2007 of the vertical jump assessment at the Section1Recruiting, Inc Player Evaluation Day.

This example is of freshman J. Kelley (6'6", 222lbs) from the University of Maine, doing a 38" Vertical Jump. Turn your head (or the computer!)

This video is of Gustavo Tella, achieving the best vertical jump at the NFL Europe try out in 2006

Here is a video of a 40" (102 cm) vertical jump by Frank Yang in January 2007. It looks very impressive, and hard to imagine other athletes getting up around 50" (see vertical jump records)
