Sit Up Testing Videos
Here is a group of students performing the one minute sit up test. They are using the technique of having their feet held down (using something attached to the wall) and their arms across their chest. As you can see, it can be difficult to see what is a valid sit up, and also the erratic movements are potentially dangerous.
Here is a group of people performing a one-minute sit up test. They are using the technique of having their hands on their thighs, and sliding them up to their knees. Compared to the other one-minute sit up test video above, this is a much more controlled method of doing the sit up.
An example of a 2 minute situp test (shown at double speed). He reached 80 in just over 2 minutes, though without his back touching the floor these may not have counted if he was actually doing the APFT Sit Up Test .
