Ringball
category: Ball Sports
Ringball is a traditional South African family sport that has been played since 1907. It is probably not a particularly unusual game to watch, but it is listed as unusual as it not very common outside of South Africa. It is a non-contact sport played by both males and females, usually in separate games. It is similar to netball (and a netball court can be used), in which the court is divided into thirds, and in the three sections are three goal scorers, three center players and three defenders. Simply, the play involves throwing the ball from player to player until it is thrown through the goal ring, which is placed at either end of the court.
