Obstacle Knock Down

The new sport of Obstacle Knock Down was created by Mr. Evans's Third Grade Class from Tamaqua, Pennsyvania in Arpil 2014. This sport was created by the class as an assignment after reading a story about James Naismith and his creating of the game of basketball. Different teams created sports and the best was chosen after a vote. From there they worked together to create rules, guidelines, and equipment.

This sport is an obstacle course combined with dodgeball. There are three parts, jumping through hoops, bouncing on a bouncey ball, and riding scooters down, and coming back in the reverse order.

Description

This is a three part obstacle course. There are teams of 5, with as many teams as there are players. For the first ten meters, you must hop through hula hoops placed on the ground, alternating feet. Then, you must get on an inflatable bouncey ball and bounce another ten meters. From there, you must get on a scooter and move to the end line, turn around and move back to where the bouncey ball is. YOu must get back on the ball and bounce to the hoops. Finally, you jump in and out of the hula hoops again and cross the finish line, sitting down in the back of the line. All the while, as each team is moving through the obstacle course, one team on either side throws foam balls as a "dodgeball" aspect to throw at the obstacle course participants.
