Windsurfing

Windsurfing is a sport that is played on the surface of the water using a board and sail. It was developed in California in the 1960’s. Windsurfing can be played in numerous ways, it can be played on open ocean and indoor pools. People use a modified surfboard with a movable mast in windsurfing.

The surfboard is usually two to three meters long, and with a volume of 60 to 250 liters. Through a free-rotating universal joint, the rig is connected to the board. But windsurfers can actually modify their surfboard depending on the activity, there are a variety of long and short board designs. On the board, the windsurfer stands, then they control the sail on the boom so that they can catch the wind and then maneuver.
