Rallycross

Rally Cross is automobile racing in a sprint form style. It is held on a closed racing circuit. Racers use specialty built road cars similar to World Rally Cars. This sport is popular in countries such as Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium and France.

The sport started as a television show in Great Britain in the year 1967. This was followed by the first-ever Rallycross.

The first FIA World Rallycross champion winner was Petter Solberg. There was an inexpensive version and a Norwegian counterpart of Rallycross named Swedish folkrace. The folkrace is most popular in Finland.
