Bare Knuckle Boxing

Bare-knuckle boxing or fisticuffs is a sport that is known all around the world as the original form of boxing and it is also closely similar to the ancient combat sports. In this sport, two individuals participate to fight against each other without using boxing gloves or any other type of padding on their hands.



The thing that makes this sport different from a street fight is that it has a set of rules, which means that you cannot strike a downed opponent.

The first champion of bare-knuckle boxing was James Figg who won the title in the year 1719 and held it till his retirement in the year 1730.

This amazing game of knuckle boxing has a set of some amazing techniques which are like arm locks, chokes, throws, punching and some grappling techniques. These techniques were banned which turned this bare-knuckle boxing sport to the modern era sport boxing.

Professional boxing matches are now held, managed and created by the World Bareknuckle Boxing Association. It is an organization which is known as the famous sports organization outside the US. This sport consist of 17 rounds in which both the individuals have to score points or gain an instant win by a knockout.
