A typical golf tournament is played over multiple rounds, usually four, with each round consisting of 18 holes. Players aim to complete each hole in the fewest strokes possible, recording their scores on a scorecard. The tournament spans several days, and players tee off in groups, navigating the course and completing all holes in each round. At the end of all rounds, the golfer with the lowest total number of strokes emerges as the tournament winner. Tournaments often include a cut after a certain number of rounds, where only the top-performing players continue to compete in subsequent rounds to contend for the title.
