AFL Draft Camp Results 2010 State Screening

Here are some fitness test results from the State Screening part of the 2010 AFL draft camp. In addition to the 100 players that are tested at the AIS, the next level of players are invited to attend a state combine event, the details were as follows.

• Melbourne, October 2, 2010: 60 Players from Victoria, NSW/ACT, Queensland and Tasmania.
• Adelaide, October 9, 2010: 21 players from South Australia and Northern Territory, held at Immanuel College.
• Perth, October 10, 2010: 31 players from Western Australia, held at the University of Western Australia

Selected Results - WA

• VERTICAL JUMP: Swan Districts teenager Isiah Stevens equalled Nic Naitanui's running vertical leap record, jumping 1.02m.
• 20M SPRINT: East Fremantle small forward Rhys Cooyou ran 2.79 seconds in the 20m sprint. Aaron Elari and Anthony Kyang both recorded identical times of 2.83 seconds, which would have gained them 4th place at the national combine. Menagola recorded 3.02 seconds.
• BEEP TEST: The best score was by East Fremantle forward Sam Menagola with a level 15.6 beep test. Anthony Kyanga achieved 14.0 in the beep test.

Selected Results - SA

• VERTICAL JUMP: Sam Day reached 76cm in the standing vertical jump.
• 20M SPTRIT: South Adelaide’s Ken Campbell recorded 2.83 for the 20-metre sprint, with Gavin Roberts only just behind him at 2.85 seconds. Sam Day achieved 3.01 seconds.
• BEEP TEST: Ken Campbell recorded 14.5 in the beep test. Sam Day achieved 13.4 in the beep test. Gavin Roberts achieved 13.1 for the beep test.

• VERTICAL JUMP: Isaac Smith 89 centimetres (running jump)
• BEEP TEST: Isaac Smith level 14.6 for the beep test.
