Gobi March, China

The Gobi March is an ultraendurance race held annually in Xinjiang, China, organized by RacingThePlanet and part of the 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series. The course showcases the stark beauty of the Gobi Desert landscape, providing participants with a unique and unforgettable ultramarathon experience.

The Gobi March was first held in September 2003.

The event takes place in the Gobi Desert region of China, near Dunhuang. The course spans approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles) over six stages, with each stage covering varying terrain including deserts, mountains, and oasis villages.

Runners navigate challenging conditions such as sand dunes, rocky terrain, and extreme temperatures, making it a test of both physical and mental endurance.
