Following the growing professionalism in sports there is also increased demand for jobs in sports administration. There are jobs managing school, college, professional, and organizational programs.  Sports administrators are involved in managing and promoting sporting clubs, fitness centers and sports facilities, marketing sports programs, in sales for sporting goods manufacturers, and as athletic directors. The skills required to become a sports administrator include a strong interest in sport and recreation, good communication and interpersonal skills and a sound business ability.
