Greece at the Winter Olympics

Greece made its debut at the Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, Germany in 1936 and has participated in the highly-awaited event from then on with the exception of the 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Olympic Games.

The Balkan nation earns the distinction of entering the stadium first during the parade of nations at the opening ceremony of the Olympiad since it is where the Olympics was born.

Although Greece have captured over 100 medals in 15 different sports in the Summer Olympics, the Mediterranean country is still seeking its first-ever medal at the Winter Games.
