Albania at the Winter Olympics

Albania has appeared in three editions of the Winter Olympic Games from 2006 to 2014. The Balkan nation is still searching for its first Olympic medal.

Alpine skier Erjon Tola earned the distinction as the first Albanian athlete to compete at the Winter Olympic Games in 2006 in Turin, Italy. Tola competed in three events and finished 56th in the Men's super-G and 35th in Men's giant slalom. However, the alpine racer did not finish in the men’s slalom event. Tola also represented Albania at the 2010 and 2014 editions of the Winter Games.

In the 2014 Winter Games held in Sochi, Russia, Tola was joined by fellow Alpine skier and the first female Albanian Winter Olympian Suela Mëhilli. Tola actually withdrew because of a broken arm, while Mëhilli placed 60th overall.
