Olympic Venues

More than half of the athletes will compete in the 14 venues of the “Olympic Green”, adjacent to the Olympic Village. The other venues are located within 36km of the Olympic Village with the exception of sailing, football and equestrian.

Sailing will be held in Qingdao City (on the east coast 690 km from Beijing) and football will be held in three different stadiums around Beijing and at four other cities across China. The equestrian competition has been moved to Hong Kong to avoid any quarantine problems.
