Roller Hockey at the Olympics

Roller Hockey, also known as Rink Hockey in some parts of the world, is like ice-hockey played on roller skates. Quad skates are used in Roller Hockey, as compared to a version of this sport called In-line Hockey which uses inline roller blades.

At the Olympic Games, Rink Hockey (as it was called) was a demonstration sport in 1992. The competition was held from July 26 to August 7, 1992 and comprised of a single event for men. There were a total of 12 nations represented. Roller Hockey was one of three official demonstration sports at the 1992 Olympics, the others were Basque pelota and taekwondo.
