Hurling at the Olympics

The Irish sport of Hurling was a demonstration event at the Olympic Games in 1904 in St. Louis. This sport, which uses a wooden stick to hit a small ball was described on the program as a "lacrosse-type" event. The exhibition match was held on July 20, 1904. Except for the results below, very little details about the event is known.

Fenian Football Club (Chicago) USA beat Innisfails (St. Louis) USA.

A Fenian team also beat Innisfails in the Gaelic Football match.
