Scotland at the World Cup

  • Scotland's first World Cup match was played on May 16, 1999 against Australia at County Ground, New Road - Worcester. In that match Australia won by 6 Wickets

  • Some matches of the 1999 event, which was held mainly in England, were also held in Scotland.

  • In their only previous appearance at the World Cup, in 1999, Scotland did not win and game and did not make it past the first round.

  • Scotland qualified for 2007 when they beat Ireland.
