  • The Kingdom of Swaziland is a small landlocked country in the east of Southern Africa, bounded to the east of Moazmbique and elsewhere by South Africia. See map of Swaziland.

  • It joined the Commonwealth in 1968 and made it's debut in the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and has attended each of the Games since.

  • Swaziland's first medal came at the 1974 Games in Christchurch when Richard Mabuza picked up a bronze for his time of 2hrs 12 mins 54.4 secs in the men's marathon.
