  • Lesotho became members of the Commonwealth in 1966 and made their debut in the 1974 Commonwealth Games which were held in Christchurch, New Zealand.

  • Since that debuthas taken part in every Games apart from Brisbane in 1982.

  • Lesotho is a mountainous landlocked Kingdom surrounded entirely by South Africa. See map of Lesotho.

  • Lesotho won its first ever medal in Kuala Lumpur in 1998 taking the gold in the men's marathon whilst a boxing silver in Manchester was the highlight of the 2002 Games for them.
