  • Jamaica entered the Commonwealth in 1962 and have taken part in every Games since their debut in London in 1934 apart from 1930, 1938, 1950 and 1986.

  • They are the third largest island in the Caribbean, situated south of Cuba and west of Haiti. See map of Jamaica.

  • Jamaica has won medals every time they have taken part in the Games. The island is synonymous for its track and field exploits with stars such as Don Quarrie and Merlene Ottey.
