Cameroon became a member of the Commonwealth in 1995 and have competed in every Games since then.
At their first games they picked up six medals, a haul they tripled in 2002 winning a total of eighteen medals, nine of which were gold.
Cameroon have an outstanding record in international sport and are recognised as one of the premier football nations in the world after impressive results at World Cup and Olympic Games competitions.
