Australian Fencing at the Olympics

  • Peter Macken is one of the few athletes to compete at the Olympics in two different sports: Fencing in 1968 and Modern Pentathlon in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976.

  • Duncan Page also competed in two different sports at the Olympic Games: Modern Pentathlon in 1964 and 1968 and Fencing in 1964.

  • James Wolffeson, who competed at the Olympics in fencing, was an accomplished cellist and went on to become head of the World Bank.
